Many people have questions about Muslim women, and never asked a
question because they were afraid of ridicule. The females of this
religion have many restrictions and rights, which are illustrated below.
Here are a couple of things you might have wondered about and never got
an answer to.
Many communities and areas can be found that do not adhere to the rights
and practices, much like seen in so many other religions. Britain gave
these females rights to own property in 1860. This was put into Islamic
law as well.
When she is engaged, she will get many gifts from her man but is not
allowed to give him one. When they get married, he will then give her
money as a gift that she can save or use any way she wants. In most
Muslim countries, she can use her unmarried name, and can even have her
own identity away from her husband.
The dress of these females varies based on their faith and
interpretation of said faith. Some very devout women will be completely
covered, and this is not due to their husband telling them that they
must. The Quran states Hijab is a necessity so that she is revered for
her intellect and not her physical attributes.
She can only use birth control or coitus interruptus if two ideas are
agreed upon: if she cannot carry a child due to illness, or if her
husband wants this completed. This is due to the fact that both are seen
as having the right to have a child. She may also leave her home at any
time, as long as her husband knows where she is going in case of
trouble.
Muslim women
have had numerous responsibilities and are given many rights, much like
other religions. The more she sticks to the Quran; people may believe
she is restricted in her rights. But she does the things she chooses,
including finding her own husband. For more details or information, you
should call your nearest mosque.
